Brissago – Still in vacation in Ticino but it rains like there is no tomorrow! So we thought let’s find a nice restaurant for lunch at the lake and enjoy the cooler air after the incredible heat. In Brissago we found this picturesque spot right by the lake. We read that the owner of the Boato is the fishermen of the town since generations and if you are looking for good fish – this is the first address you need to go.
As starter we had two different fish tatar and tagliatelli with a wild boar sauce which was really good. For main course we both went for a whole fish from the lake. I had the trout and my company the whitefish. My fish was perfectly grilled, flavoured with a lot of fresh herbs. The whitefish though was a little dry. The restaurant is worth going for the food and the view – first row at the lake!
