Little Italy aka Hot Pasta

Zurich – Last week I tried this out for lunch and it was quite good. They serve fresh pasta you can combine with different sauces. You do not order by the waiter but you get a check that you fill in – took a little to get used to….The interior is full of beautiful black & white pictures and the rest quite colourful. Have a look at their website…totally forgot to take pictures. It reminded me a little bit of a diner in the US that sells Italian food but very likeable.

Flughafen Wangen

Wangen – You reach Flughafen Wangen and the restaurant easy by car, foot or boat. The set up is very simple. And the food is also simple but VERY good. Especially to mention the meat, you will not be disappointed. While you are eating your juicy steak and the crispy chips you can watch the planes take off and landing.

Hin&Weg

Zurich – In the new Zurich area Europaallee opened the restaurant Hin&Weg. I really like the interior of this restaurant, it is a mix of bistro, Mediterranean, cool venue you like to stay a little longer. The food is very fresh prepared at the buffet. They have a lot of varieties in salads, baguettes and soups for a good price, also to take away. The terrace invites to sit there also in the evening.

Osteria Vista – Marina Lachen

Lachen – Last Sunday we urged for a pizza after all the barbecuing. As we still wanted to sit by the water we went for Marina Lachen. You can also go by boat, they offer a few spaces. The service is very nice and the food is good. On a beautiful day you need to make a reservation. The same complex houses also an Asian restaurant and a steak house.

Rio Bar

Zurich – I passed by this bar hundred times but never came round to go inside. Since I work now in the area and I went for lunch. Since then I went twice again because I liked it so much. The food is simple and good. Last week for example they offered “Wiedikerli” sausages from Keller Metzgerei as a menu for lunch – the one who know….know. The offer also a lot of beverages I haven’t seeen somewhere else, for example lemonade made of rhubarb. A great plus is obviously the comparatively big terrace with the look over the sihl.
In the evening and night it is a very nice little bar.
