The Pot Luck Club!

Cape Town – a MUST and my personal favourite in Cape Town! But book in advance. The food is presented on the menu under the different tastes as Sweet, Bitter, Umami, etc. and portions in a Tapas-style-size. Everything was perfect and staff was not only very friendly but also very good-looking….maybe a job requirement?

PLC is a sister restaurant of the Test Kitchen, the best voted restaurant in Cape Town at the moment.

Truth Coffee – Hungover or not – this is not the question

Cape Town – While visiting Cape Town one should visit Truth coffee. The poached egg on surdough with tomatoes and/or avo has only got a hint of sauce instead of drowning in it – fantastic!

Harbour House – Lunch by the sea

Kalk Bay – Today we enjoyed a great and delicious fish and seafood lunch right next to the sea in Kalk Bay, 45mnts drive from Cape Town.

The waves were so big the water splashed on the windows. From the terrace you can watch the sealions playing with each other.

Really worth the way. There is another HH in Cape Town but I guess not at all that spectacular in terms of the view.

La Mouette

Cape Town – a great mix of European and South African kitchen in a beautiful house… you can see and feel it was a former home to a family. I had the Namibian lamb that contained also a delicious sweet bread. The wine list is a  bit short.

Cafe Boy – Oh boy…..!

Zurich – I have heard many good things about Cafe Boy. Finally, two weeks ago, I could experience it myself. I had veal liver on my plate – perfectly cooked and a beautiful flavour as it has to be! My friend chose veal on a celery-truffled mash…luckily she let me steal some of her food to try.

We also enjoyed some glasses of red wine from Mallorca, that paired perfectly.

Definitively worth going again soon…maybe today?
